XUBRAH is the night seen not as emptiness but as a pattern already finished. The Mexica read the sky the way a weaver reads a loom: every star a knot, every constellation a thread the gods had already tied.
The stepped frame around the face is that loom, the structure the stars hang on, and the glowing eyes are the two fixed points every other star is measured against.
Mythic Connection
Mexica sky-watchers followed the stars from the tops of temples, naming constellations such as the Fire Drill and the Scorpion, and timing their ceremonies by the slow turning of the night.
