TLAYON

The Pulse of Rain
TLAYON is the storm the land needs. It arrives with force, breaks what is dry and brittle, and leaves the ground ready to grow again.
The headdress falls in bands like rain seen from below, and the angular face holds still at the center of the downpour. Creation and destruction share the same rhythm here, and the rhythm does not stop.
Mythic Connection
The Mexica said Tlaloc kept his rain in great jars. His helpers, the tlaloque, struck the jars open, and the sound of them breaking was thunder. Some jars held the gentle rain that fed the maize; others held hail, frost and drought.
Life Through Force.
The rain that renews never asks permission. TLAYON is for the one who knows that growth begins with something breaking open.
TLAYON belongs to RHAKAN, The Pulse of the Root: the ethos of fire, ochre and raw earth, in Hurinsaya, the lower half.
Limited Edition. 100 pieces. Never returns.
