XANTHE

The Clear Sight

XANTHE is the face after everything unnecessary has been burned off. The ground is the void itself: not emptiness, but the clean space that appears when illusion is removed. The face is calm because it has nothing left to defend; the eyes look outward and inward at once.

The crown radiates not like the sun but like understanding: a clarity that spreads in straight, deliberate lines.

Mythic Connection

The Nahua sages, the tlamatinime, were said to hold a mirror before the faces of others, so that they might see themselves clearly. True sight, the inner eye, was not given to those who looked harder, but to those who looked with less.

The Inner Eye.

XANTHE is for the one who has stopped grasping, and finally sees.

XANTHE belongs to SYLIS, The Clarity of the Void: the ethos of aether, inner vision and purification, in Hanansaya, the upper half.
