TEZCAVA

The Black Mirror

TEZCAVA is still water at night: the only surface honest enough to show you yourself. It does not flatter and it does not lie. It only returns what you brought to it.

The radiating spokes of the headdress are not sun rays. They are ripples frozen the instant before the reflection settles, and the calm, resting face belongs to someone who has stopped performing.

Mythic Connection

Tezcatlipoca, the Smoking Mirror, was often shown with a disc of polished obsidian in place of one foot. The Mexica called obsidian itztli, the stone that made both the sharpest blade and the clearest mirror. Tezcatlipoca was feared not for what he destroyed but for what he revealed.

Still Water Does Not Lie.

Every ripple is a thought, and every thought is an excuse not to look. TEZCAVA is for the one who is ready to be seen without effort.

TEZCAVA belongs to NOXARA, The Weight of the Deep: the ethos of water, the abyssal current and obsidian, in Hurinsaya, the lower half.

Limited Edition. 100 pieces. Never returns.
